Committee Training 2025…

It’s that time of year again: Committee Training is here!

If you’re on a society or sports club committee, this training is for you. We’ll cover everything you need to know about your role, responsibilities, and what’s expected of you, plus share loads of tips to help your group have an amazing year.

Here’s what we’ll go through:

• Your key responsibilities as a committee member
• Governance and compliance requirements (incl. specific governing bodies)
• How to manage your club or society effectively
• Tips for planning events, budgeting, and member engagement
• Who to contact for advice and support

Session details:

28th October (Cyncoed Campus – C Block, LT1) / 30th October (Llandaff Campus, O Block O1.01)

17:30-20:00

You only need to attend one of the sessions (the content is identical in both).

Committee training is mandatory for club or society affiliation with Cardiff Met SU. We’d love to see your whole committee there, but at least two members of your committee must attend so your group is ready to go for the year. Failure to complete committee training may result in sanctions or restrictions to service.

You will need to purchase a free ticket to sign up for training. Each person attending must purchase a free ticket.
